As a social psychologist passionate about human interactions, I founded Ballast Prévention, a consulting firm specializing in preserving mental health at work. We address issues related to the prevention of Psychosocial Risks (PSR) and the implementation of approaches focused on Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QLWC).

Our belief: "Employees are a company's greatest asset. It's not enough to prevent them from getting sick; the company can help them develop their health at work."

The frequent problem: social ties that are breaking down

Today, companies are experiencing what I call a major crisis of connection. With the emergence of widespread and unprepared teleworking, the individualization of professional activities, which had already been underway for several years, took on another dimension after COVID. Feelings of isolation and a lack of professional benchmarks have never been so prevalent among employees.

Burnout, harassment, stress, discomfort at work... these words are unfortunately still far too often uttered by those who work.

The approach we propose aims to improve work organization, regulate tensions, and promote healthy interactions among colleagues. We are convinced that the professional world is precisely a space for cohesion, a great opportunity to create exchanges, in short, a place that promotes mental health at work.

Our method: a comprehensive approach to mental health in the workplace

1- Protect

Employees in difficulty by supporting and accompanying them through the challenges they face at work

2- Preserve

Health by acting on working conditions so that they do not harm mental health

3- Develop

Innovative work organizations that reconcile health and performance for the sustainable well-being of those who work.

Our areas of intervention

  • Deteriorated situations: diagnosis and qualitative analysis
  • Upskilling needs: tailor-made training on anticipating factors that degrade mental health at work
  • Implementation of a prevention policy: structuring a comprehensive, coherent, and realistic occupational health prevention approach

3 measures to promote employee well-being

  • Encourage opportunities for discussion and sharing between employees

  • Be attentive to weak signals (isolation, irritability, change in attitude)

  • Ensure the company's values align with those experienced by employees

Benefits of an adapted and coherent prevention approach:

  • Retain your teams
  • Facilitate recruitment
  • Fulfill regulatory obligations
  • Sustain social dialogue
  • Confidently support changes within the company
