My name is Maëlle RANQUET, and by creating the association La Fresque du Mouvement in 2024, I have made the fight against sedentary lifestyles and physical inactivity my mission. Movement is a vital resource, too often neglected in our sedentary lifestyles. We help teams, managers, and individuals to reconnect with their bodies, understand the impacts of sedentariness, and reintroduce movement in a simple, sustainable, and joyful way into their daily lives.
Our approach is fun, caring, and practical: it combines participatory education, active breaks, and co-construction to foster collective awareness and individual action.
Our conviction: "Movement is not an option, it's a driving force for life.”

The frequent problem: when lack of movement extinguishes your energy
Our days are punctuated by hours of sitting, screens, and fixed postures. This prolonged immobility creates a vicious cycle: chronic fatigue, decreased concentration, body tension, stress, and loss of productivity. The lack of movement acts like a fog: it impairs our mental clarity, mood, and creativity.
Getting the body moving again means reactivating energy, vitality, and the coherence between what we think, what we feel, and what we do. It also means taking care of our physical, mental, and social health.
Two complementary workshop formats for understanding and taking action
Our offering is structured around two types of workshops designed to move participants from awareness to concrete action.

The Movement Mural – Understanding and becoming aware
A 3-hour collaborative, fun, and documented workshop, in person, to explore the causes and consequences of sedentary lifestyles and physical inactivity.
In teams, after redefining these key terms, we trace the cycle of movement (or its absence) and identify the impacts on health, performance, and well-being. This then allows us to collectively find simple and effective actions to incorporate more movement into daily life.
Each participant leaves with concrete tools, routines adapted to their environment, and a realistic action plan to implement immediately.
This step creates a collective awakening, a common language, and a shared desire to act.
Objective: to better understand in order to move better.

Movement Workshop – Becoming aware
This workshop is a simplified and interactive version of the Movement Mural, designed to be experienced remotely.
Using a digital collaboration tool, we playfully and concretely explore the challenges of sedentary lifestyles and discover accessible solutions to reintroduce movement into daily life, even when working in front of a screen.
Through this workshop, participants learn to:
● identify their own barriers to movement,
● test simple and immediately applicable gestures,
● build a personalized toolbox to move more without disrupting their schedule.
➡ Objective: transform theory into action, by giving each participant the keys to put movement back at the heart of their day — even when teleworking.
These two formats can be experienced independently or combined; they are an ideal first step for companies and organizations that want to make a lasting impact (on minds and bodies).

My areas of expertise
We intervene where movement becomes a lever for health, well-being, and performance:
- In companies:
To combat sedentary lifestyles, strengthen team cohesion, and re-energize employees.
- For individuals, especially those working remotely:
To help everyone better manage their screen time and integrate active rituals into their day.
- In training organizations or associations:
To raise awareness about the challenges of sedentary lifestyles and support collective action.

3 simple tips to move more (without changing your schedule)
- Use breaks to move: Instead of sitting between meetings, take a few minutes to walk, stretch, or breathe deeply. These micro-movements improve circulation, release tension, and restore mental clarity.
- Walk during phone calls: Turn every phone call into an opportunity to move: stand up, take a few steps, look away from your screen. Walking while talking promotes concentration, creativity, and a more vibrant tone of voice.
- Move together: Suggest an active team break, a standing meeting, or a walking debrief. It's more motivating to do it together, and it strengthens team cohesion as much as vitality.
